What Can I Expect During/After Halo Laser Treatment?

Prior to the start of your HALO laser treatment, a local anesthetic may be applied to the skin to numb the area. Next, the HALO hybrid fractional laser will be used to combine the benefits of an ablative and nonablative laser to penetrate the skin. The entire treatment process takes about 30 – 45 minutes, but this can vary based on the area being treated. During the first 1 – 2 days after your treatment, you may experience some slight redness, swelling, and/or warmth of the skin.

About 48 – 72 hours after the procedure, you will notice darker spots on the skin in the area that was treated. These are due to the rejuvenation of the collagen layer of the skin. Your skin may start to peel in the treated area, lasting from 5 – 7 days and up to two weeks. It is important that you limit sun exposure and make sure to apply sunscreen.

HALO Laser FAQs

How long will it take to heal?
As with most laser treatments, your healing process from the HALO laser will take various stages in the week following treatment. You will experience some redness and swelling in the first 3 – 4 days following treatment, so expect some downtime and make sure to protect your body from sun exposure. After day four, your "halo glow" will kick in, and you should see the full effects of your treatment.

Will the HALO laser hurt?
Our Burleson and Fort Worth, TX patients report little to no pain during their HALO laser treatment, thanks to the numbing cream and localized anesthetic that we utilize prior to treatment. You may feel some slight heat or warmth at the site of treatment. Your skin will likely deepen and look almost sunburnt as it heals in response to the heat from treatment.

How long will it take to see results?
A week following your treatment at Med Spa at Seena One, you should be fully healed. You should continue to see the effects and benefits of treatment for the next 3 – 6 months. Our patients who want to optimize their results often like to get touch-ups to achieve their ideal skin.
